The result has been a steady following that has helped to make the Blind Luck Band one of the bands that all the club owners in London want to book. The hope now is that they will be able to expand their reputation worldwide.
Jack Canes got his start as a musician after completing school, when he got a job working in a live music club. He had always had an interest in music and had learned to play guitar when he was a kid. After school he had no real idea what he planned to do for a living so he took a job washing dishes in a club. It was while he was working here that he started to come into contact with the musicians who were playing at the club. One day while at work he heard about a band that was looking for a new guitarist so he asked if he could audition. Canes ended up getting the job and he was on his way to a career as a musician.
The first band that Jack Canes played in didn't last long and it was hardly a professional job, he still had to maintain his dish washing job to pay the bills. For the next couple of years Canes moved from one band to another as they would play together for a few months and then come to the realization that they couldn't make a living playing music and break up.
It was after one of these break ups that Canes got the chance to audition for The Blind Luck Band. This one started off pretty much like all of the others, a bunch of guys who played together with no real belief that they were going to get anywhere. However this started to change after they got a few live performances under their belt. They slowly but steadily built up a following in the clubs around London. For the first time Jack Canes was actually able to make a living playing in a band.
Over the last several years the Blind Luck Band have managed to establish themselves as an important part of the London punk rock scene. They are well known for their high energy live shows and this has helped them to attract a substantial following. More recently they have managed to spread their reputation around England and they are now one of the most sought after live acts for many club owners. The hope is that in the near future they will be able to establish a reputation outside of England and become known on the world stage.
