Drums: Peter G. Eerts
Peter G. Eerts is the drummer in the Blind Luck Band. After a shaky start they have become a highly respected part of the London punk rock scene with the loyal following of a group of hard core fans. The goal now is to expand that group of fans and build a reputation outside of London and eventually start to attract a following outside of England.
Peter G. Eerts was born and raised in Liverpool where he had always had an interest in music. He got a drum set when he was still a kid and spent hours practicing. During his teen years he got involved with the Liverpool punk rock scene playing with several bands during that time. However he came to the realization pretty quickly that none of those bands were going to lead to anything so he made the decision that he was going to move to London to look for a serious band to join. After finishing school Eerts was off to London in the hopes of joining a professional band.
Unfortunately the band that Eerts ended up joining turned out to be anything but professional. After being in London for a couple of months he had been unable to find a band to play with when he heard about a group called the Blind Luck Band. Under the assumption that this was a band of serious musicians he answered an ad for an audition. He got the job but it turned out that the Blind Luck Band was made up of a bunch of guys who had never been in a band before and could barely play their instruments. With nothing else to do Eerts decided to stick with them just for the chance to play.
During the first couple of years there was no money to be made from playing with the Blind Luck Band so Eerts had to take on a variety to jobs in order to pay the bills. For a time he worked as a truck driver and he seriously thought about leaving the band in order to do that full time. However as time went by the band got a lot better and they were starting to get paying gigs.
During Eerts' time with the Blind Luck Band they have grown into a respected punk rock band who have a pretty good following around the London club scene. They have also started to attract a following outside of London as they start to play around England. The band is well known for their live shows which are very high energy. This is what has attracted their core group of fans who make an effort to come and see them wherever they are playing. As new fans join that group the popularity of the Blind Luck Band is sure to grow.
